
Jessie Lemonier Biography, Jessie Lemonier (January 31, 1997 – January 2023) was an American football outside linebacker. He played with the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL) (USFL). He was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2020 after his collegiate football career with the Liberty Flames.

Jessie Lemonier Career
After being passed over in the first round of the NFL Draft in 2020, Lemonier joined the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2020. On September 5, 2020, he was released from the team’s active roster as part of the final roster cuts, and the following day, he was added to the practice squad. On September 26, 2020, he was given a spot on the active roster to take up. On October 24, 2020, he was released from the active roster, and on October 28, 2020, he was re-signed to the practice squad. On November 7, he was given a spot on the team’s active roster once again. On November 28, 2020, he was released from the active roster, and on December 2, 2020, he was re-signed to the practice squad. On December 17, he was promoted to the active roster of the club in preparation for their week 15 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. After the game, though, he was placed back on the practice squad again. On December 26, 2020, he was given a spot on the active roster after being given a contract.
Lemonier was given a spot on the Detroit Lions practice squad on September 2, 2021 after being signed by the team.
On October 6th, he was moved from the inactive to the active roster.
On May 16, 2022, he was released from his obligations.
On May 17, 2022, the Arizona Cardinals picked up Lemonier off of waivers and added him to their roster.
On August 17th, he was allowed to go free.
Lemonier was chosen by the Arlington Renegades in the 2023 XFL Draft , but on December 31, 2022, he decided to sign with the Houston Gamblers of the USFL instead.
His playing rights were quickly acquired by the Birmingham Stallions in a transaction that took place.

The circumstances behind Lemonier’s death in January of 2023, when he was 25 years old, are not yet known.
According to the Detroit Lions, Jessie Lemonier has passed away. They said on social media, “We are stunned and sorry to hear that former Detroit Lion Jessie Lemonier has passed away.” They discussed how Lemonier was an outstanding teammate and an energetic young guy who passed away far too soon.
The Lions also expressed that they are praying for the athlete and his loved ones during this difficult time. Drew Smith, the manager of the football player, told ESPN that Jessie Lemonier and his partner are expecting a child. Fans of the famous player expressed their sympathies to the deceased athlete’s family and expressed their admiration for his play.
